Samos Island, Part I: metamorphosed and non-metamorphosed nappes, and sedimentary basins
Abstract:
This excursion guide is subdivided into two parts: the first deals with aspects of the geologic, tectonic and metamorphic evolution of Samos and the second with the famous fossils of the islands. The first part is accompanied by an itinerary for a 5-day field trip. Chapter 2 does not include a detailed field trip program but contains a map that shows the main sites of the bone beds that contain the world-famous Neogene mammals of Samos.
